| A charitable research and treatment facility: the MIRFA dream.
Advocacy and research are the beginning. Ultimately, MIRFA is working towards a dream – the creation of a charitable research and treatment facility for mentally ill individuals. Modeled after St. Jude’s hospital for children, the center would offer a charitable comprehensive approach to the treatment of mental illness.
A vision of care.
The facility will be an inviting and open space, where there is no sense of stigma… A comfortable and natural atmosphere encourages recovery and a return to all the normal aspects of life… Professionalism and warm treatment is research-based… Individuals guide their own treatment, and maintain valuable links to the home, family, and community during the course of their residency.
